Calendar of Events for 10-13 and Division 10

*** Crew/Coxswain Signoffs *** Mentors will be available most Thursday nights at member training for those members needing shore side signoffs for Crew and Coxswain.

October 2, 2008 (Thursday) - Flotilla 10-13 Member Training.  Member training will include annual required workshops for Sexual Harassment Awareness and Ethnic Diversity.  Starting at 1930 hours, at the Larkin house 380 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff.

 

October 8, 2008 (Wednesday) - Flotilla 10-13 Meeting.  Starting at 2000 hours, at the Larkin house 380 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff.

 

October 04, 2008 (Saturday) - ICS 210 class is being offered on Saturday, 04 October Location: TBD but likely at Fairfield Red Cross.  Time from 0800 to 1300 hours, Uniform ODU.  No lunch break will be provided and attendees are encouraged to bring whatever snacks they believe will be necessary.  Attendees are to bring pens, pencils and highlighters.     After a brief review of ICS 100 and ICS 200, the ICS 210 course will be presented, followed by a written exam. Successful candidates will be issued a certificate of completion.  Contact Henry Uiga for details and to confirm your slot.  Space is limited. All single resource personnel are required to successfully complete ICS 210 prior to 31 MAR 09. Therefore first right of refusal will go to Coxswains and Pilots

 

October 15, 2008 (Wednesday) - Division Meeting and Elections, starting at 2000, at the American Legion Hall at 33 W. Passaic St in Rochelle Park, NJ Uniform of the Day - Trops

 

October 25, 2008 (Saturday) - ICS 210 class is being offered on Saturday, 25 October Location: CG Station Sandy Hook Area.  Attendees are to bring pens, pencils and highlighters.     After a brief review of ICS 100 and ICS 200, the ICS 210 course will be presented, followed by a written exam. Successful candidates will be issued a certificate of completion.  The POC for all courses is Donna Cole donnacole@optonline.net.  Space is limited. All single resource personnel are required to successfully complete ICS 210 prior to 31 MAR 09. Therefore first right of refusal will go to Coxswains and Pilots

November 11, 2008 (Tuesday) - Veterans Day.  We are having the annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, 11 November will include the Coast Guard from Sector New York as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary. We will be looking for as many interested members to march along side of the Active duty and Reserve members. I have attached the informational poster telling about the event and estimated times of marching.

The uniform of the day will be Dress Blue Bravo and white combination cap. Rain coat or official outer coat pending conditions of the weather

November 12, 2008 (Wednesday) - Flotilla 10-13 Meeting & Elections.  Elections for FC and VFC for 2009 will be held.  Starting at 2000 hours, at the Larkin house 380 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff.

November 15, 2008 (Saturday) - ICS 210 class is being offered on Saturday, 15 November, Location: Norwalk, CT.  The POC for all courses is Donna Cole donnacole@optonline.net.

December 5-7, 2008 (Friday-Sunday) - District Leadership Conference.

December 13-21, 2008 - NY Boat Show at the Javitts Center.  Sunday December 14th is Division 10 Day.  Watch standers needed on any day especially week days. Please contact our SO-PA, Ken Petretti to sign up for this event. As always, Service Dress Blue Uniforms ONLY! Please consider helping staff our booth during the week.

January 10, 2009 (Saturday) - District Board Meeting - Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island.  Starting at 0900 hours.

January 17, 2009 (Saturday) - ICS 210 class is being offered on Saturday, 17 January, Location: Northpoint, NY.  The POC for all courses is Donna Cole donnacole@optonline.net.

January 23, 2008 (Friday) - Division 10 COW at the Bethwood in Totowa, NJ.  More details to follow or check the Division 10 website. 

March 27-29, 2009 (Friday-Sunday) - District training and awards conference in Mystic CT.

Division 10 meetings - Third Wednesday of every month, starting at 2000, at the American Legion Hall at 33 W. Passaic St in Rochelle Park, NJ

Flotilla Member Training - Begins again January 2008.  Thursday nights at the Oakland School when school is in session and at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Ave., in Wyckoff during the summer months and whenever the Oakland schools are closed.  All are welcome.  Start time is typically 1930 hours.  If you are planning on taking an AuxOp test and need some help preparing.  Contact our member training officer Henry Uiga to arrange for a class.
